The Writer Writes was originally created as a platform for co-founder Nia Turner to self-publish her own books and novellas. While working on her debut novel, My Other Half, she quickly realized just how difficult it can be to break into the publishing world—especially without spending thousands of dollars on services she was capable of doing herself. And so, The Writer Writes was born.

Joined by co-founder Jade Juana Polly, who shares her passion for storytelling and empowering others, the two set out to create a supportive, accessible space for all writers. Whether you're publishing your next novel or just trying to pass that English paper (we see you, high schoolers and college students), our mission is to help you succeed—without sacrificing your creative control or emptying your wallet.
